January & February ‘24

Hi Friends! I skipped January and didn’t even realize it!

oops!

We’ll just bunch the last two months together and cross our fingers we don’t do this again lol I have really loved making these monthly recaps for myself, but i’ve also gotten some sweet feedback from y’all which makes me super motivated to continue on. It’s only going to get more special too considering i am currently 33 weeks pregnant and life is about to get a whole lot different!

But lets save that for later and get into January.

I just learned that If i didn’t take so many videos and photos every month I would be very lost and very forgetful of what even took place during that time.

HERE’S A LITTLE PHOTO RECAP :

  • we finished our flooring, and we also finished the slats and painting! all we have left for our bedroom is a rug, closet doors ( help me find something cool and vibey ), and a new bed frame! Other than that we’re done and it’s very happy :)

  • did a “no spend January” which went really well actually! i think i rounded up what we ended up spending ~ fun money wise ~ and it was under $80 for the whole month which i count as a success!

  • we slowed down a little bit because my body started asking for it

  • i impulsively got my hair chopped off

  • it snowed a couple times, but for the most part we had really warm days for it being January

  • i made my first at home latte since my first trimester and i loved it!

  • sorted through Rehns old clothes, washed, organized, and brought out what we can use for bb

  • and to end off the month, literally the last day of the month, Rehn stuck this beed up her nose and i had to get her to blow it out. it was traumatic and i don’t think it’ll ever happen again lol

Obviously February had more going on in terms of business/productivity — at least the first half lol

i won’t go through every photo, but these were the “highlights” from the month! Some happy, some miserable.

We did have a lot of sunshine, a lot days filled with community, walks, from scratch foods, crafts, parties, and tthen the second half was full of being in bed, or on the couch trying to recover from a 3 week virus that just got worse as the days went on. I genuienly thought we’d never heal from it! I also ended up with pink eye, but i’m grateful to have been the only one to deal with it.

All-in-all, it was a good month. We made it to 33 weeks, baby is healthy and moving like crazy, Rehn is super excited to be a big sister, we’re slowly getting all the things organized/figured out for our newest member coming so soon, and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with this nasty virus!
